Several gas station customers were injured last weekend after a suspected drunk driver crashed her truck into a gas station last Friday night.
The incident happened close to 10 p.m., according to investigators, and authorities said that although a handful of people sustained scratches, they are thankful no one was seriously hurt.
The driver of the Ford F150 was described as being a woman in her 20s; she was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries before being taken to the Riverside County Jail for booking.
Her name has not been made public but it’s believed she was held on at least $100,000 bail bonds based on the nature of the incident. The typical charge in this type of crime is a DUI resulting in injury. Had someone died as a result of the crash her bail amount could have been set at $500,000 or more.
Police are reminding all drivers to be safe and designate a sober driver.
