A spokesperson for the Riverside Police Department said they have arrested a man who reportedly assaulted a woman on a Canyon Crest area street. Officers said they initially responded to a call that an unknown male, who may have been in possession of a gun, was attacking a woman in broad daylight.
When police arrived to the scene the suspect was hiding in his home. He initially ignored requests for him to exit the structure. He eventually left the house and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Riverside County Jail to be booked and processed. His name and bail information were not immediately available.
When someone is arrested and charged with domestic violence in Riverside county they will want to contact a bondsman right away. Bail for this charge often ranges between $25,000 and $50,000 and the cost to hire a bail bonds company will be 10%. Persons who are unable to pay for the full cost of the bond up front in full will want to ask their agent if they can help with bail bonds financing. Some companies only transact in cash whereas others accept credit cards, debit cards, Western Union, bank transfer and direct bank deposit.
The most important thing to remember about bailing someone out of jail is that you are taking full responsibility the defendant will return to court when required.
