The Police Department in Riverside is seeking golfers who might have an interest in participating in their annual charity golf tournament. The event will take place at The Ranch, Moreno Valley on Sept. 28.
According to a recent report by PE.com, the tournament will benefit a number of charities associated with the Riverside Police Officers’ Association. This includes the Ronald McDonald House, a 501(c)(3) that provides Christmas gifts to children of low-income families, and several others.
A spokesperson for the Police Department in Riverside said more than $70,000 was donated in 2011 alone. Golfers of all abilities are welcome to participate. Teams of four can register for $600. Individual golfers can also play for a donation of $150. All checks should be made payable to the Riverside Police Officers’ Association. Those wishing to register in advance can mail checks to 1985 Chicago Ave., Ste. B, Riverside, CA 92557. Same-day registration is also available and will begin at 10 p.m. The tournament will begin at noon sharp.
