Authorities in Riverside County are reaching out to residents after a series of home and vehicular burglaries took place late last week.
A spokesperson for the Riverside Police Department said they believe the crimes are being committed by several people who may be working in teams. The best way to protect yourself, according to officers, is to make sure your car doors, and home entryways are locked.
In the recent set of crimes it’s believed the criminals went door to door, and car to car to look for easy targets. If they found an easy-way into a residence or vehicle, due to unlocked windows or doors, they struck.
Authorities said they did arrest two people last week who are believed to be tied to some of these crimes, but they’re unsure if more burglary teams are still out there. According to a report by NBC Los Angeles, police said this type of crime can happen to anyone which is why they’re urging residents to be proactive with safety measures.
