A spokesperson for the Temecula Police Department said officers are still looking for the Portofino Apartment shooting homicide suspect.
Shots were fired on Sept. 22 just after 10:00 am, according to records, and when officers arrived they found a man who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, but Temecula PD officials said they have initiated a homicide investigation.
The suspect remains at large, they said, and the department is asking anyone who thinks they may have information as to the person’s identity and/or location is asked to call in an anonymous tip.
When the suspect is taken into custody they’ll be handcuffed, read their Miranda rights and will be booked into one of the Riverside jails. Bail amounts in these types of cases are usually quite high and the defendant may need to post million dollar bail bonds if they want to be released pending trial.
