A 25-year-old man who is accused of throwing a chair through the window of a local bakery has been arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
The suspect, who has been identified as Kyle Scott Carlson, is being held on $10,000 bail bonds. Carlson is being charged with one count of maliciously defacing property and vandalism resulting in more than $400 in damage.
Carlson is believed to be a transient, police said.
Authorities say a witness saw him throw the chair, although it’s still not clear why Carlson chose to throw it. He initially fled from the scene but he was captured a short time later.
If the now-defendant wants to be released from custody pending trial he’ll need to hire a Riverside County bail bondsman. The cost to purchase bail bonds in Riverside will be 10% of his total bail amount, so in this case, $1,000. He’ll also need someone to cosign to guarantee he’ll go to court and finish his case, and to arrange for payment of the bondsman’s fee.
