After a person is arrested in the Murrieta area, they will be brought to the Southwest Detention Center for booking. This process can take between two and six hours to complete. The defendant will be fingerprinted and photographed. Information will be entered into the jail database. Staff will perform a background check and search for open warrants nationwide.
